Let me introduce myself
This is me.
Expanding my toolbox.
Working on things that interests me.
Exploring ideas.
Feeling social.
I am a M.Sc. candidate in Data Science and Operations Research at the Özyeğin University, supervised by Prof. Erinç Albey and Prof. Enis Kayış.
My primary research interests lie at the intersection of Optimization and Machine Learning, with applications to Predictive Modelling, Nonlinear & Black Box Systems, Simulation Applications and Surrogate Models.
My vision is to address high impact problems with accurate and interpretable models that utilize state-of-the-art analytics methods.
I had the opportunity to do research on different problems and topics in many different fields, some of which started in the undergraduate period.
Main of these studies:
• Machine Learning & Optimization — Prof. Erinç Albey and Prof. Enis Kayış.
• Customer Analytics & Churn Modelling — Prof. Erinç Albey and Prof. Örsan Özener.
• Humanitarian Operations & Network Science — Prof. Burcu Balçık and Prof. Dilek Günneç.
• Supply Chain Segmentation & Product Pricing — Prof. Erinç Albey and Prof. Mehmet Önal.
—> For details, you can check publications section of my resume.
Alongside academia, I have worked in operations research and data science consulting at Optiyol, where I helped clients use advanced analytics and optimization to make transformative and sustainable performance improvement.
I develop solutions for real life network design, forecasting and routing problems with the Optiyol analytics team under the supervision of Dr. Tuba Gözbaşı and Dr. Ozan Gözbaşı.
If you want to know more about me, talk about my research or work outside of academia - feel free to get in touch, I would love to hear from you.
